Game Industry in New Media

If you are a gamer you surely know the release dates and upcoming games that are up for grab on the market, or perhaps you might have seen it in football match digital perimeter advertisement. Some just simply Google it or watch the trailer of the new video games on Youtube, and the medium the industry use to advertise their games globally is none other than thru new media. 

As we know it, it is the nature of new media’s potential to spread news and information virally. It had been a long time video games industry or interactive entertainment started to get over the ground of advertising, steps and effort their taken was crucial as their product thru new media advertising meet its needs ever since.

Most hardcore gamers out there do appreciate the new media as it provide information that they needed, family physicians Frederick Kron, M.D., of Verona conducted a study from a total of 217 medical students from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, and the University of Michigan. Overall, medical student respondents, including who do not play video games, held highly favorable views about the use of video games and related new media technology in medical education. Let’s not put aside that Shrooming gamer mostly from teenagers is also one of the key factors for the increase sales in game industry, but none of it can happen if it’s not from the combination of gaming, online advertising and marketing thru new media, as it is an epic approach for the economic development that help in boost up sales and profits.
