New Media becoming Mainstream Media

New media is quickly becoming mainstream media around the globe. We become familiarize with blogging, micro blogging, RSS, widgets, social networking, chat rooms, message boards, podcasts, video sharing, photo sharing.

Although development of economic, social and cultural have widen in all markets but the global phenomenon is still the social media. Participations of creating more content are lead by the Asian markets. I would say the quickest growing platform would be YouTube in terms of video sharing although all social media platforms have grown noticeably.

Social network is one of the platform for creating and sharing content especially Facebook, where we users uploaded photos and uploaded videos. Not to forget, nowadays social network users have installed widget application. Same goes to bloggers that installed applications in their blog templates.

We are also alert that blogs are becoming the mainstream media globally and become rival to traditional media as community becoming active in reading blogs and some of them started their own blog. Plus, social media has strong impacts over brand reputation where users post opinions about products and brands on their blogs. Companies that have blogs will generate more positive interaction with their external stakeholders.
